This booklet/Instruction Manual is not for an IBM computer but for an IBM typewriter...Model 11C, an early IBM electric typewriter. We have this typewriter in our collection just to remind visitors that IBM made a wide array of business machines (punch clocks, scales, fire alarm systems, time clocks) long before they became "Snow White".

IBM was so powerful in the computer field that they and the other seven major companies were often referred to as "Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs". The 7 dwarfs changed over time and included UNIVAC, Burroughs, NCR, Digital Equipment Company, Control Data Corporation, Honeywell, General Electric and RCA.

The front and back covers are salmon in color with black and white print and black and white photos. This color scheme continues throughout the booklet. The booklet is 9" wide and 6" high. The covers have separated from the binding. The booklet is 22 pages including an introduction to electric typing and instructions on how to use and troubleshoot the IBM 11C machine.
